Our History
Since 1995, ZMarketing has been representing security manufacturers. The principal of the company, Dave Zandan, has been a manufacturer’s representative since 1984. He has been associated with the broadcast, television, and security industry since 1973.
What We Do
ZMarketing provides cost effective marketing, sales, training, and customer support service for the lines we present in our territory. Through the strong relationships we created with dealers, consultants, distributors, installers, integrators and end users in our territory, we are able to introduce new products quickly.
Our team provides system design services to dealers, consultants and end users. We are also available to do product demos.
Our technical knowledge and expertise saves you valuable time in creating the right solution for your unique application.
ZMarketing services our accounts on a regular basis and supplements the manufacturers own advertising and promotional programs with direct mailings, emails, an updated website and a sponsored regional show.

DAVE ZANDAN

A native of Western Massachusetts, Dave attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a major in education (Masters Degree in Education), specializing in instructional design using photography and television. Immediately after that in 1979, after teaching at St. Joseph's College, West Hartford, CT as an Associate Professor, and doing post graduate work at the University of Connecticut, he went to work as a regional sales manager for a manufacturer for broadcast television equipment. In 1984 Dave began his career as a manufacturer's representative when he joined the firm of FM Valenti, representing the state of Connecticut, then starting his own rep firm in 1992 to the present.

MATTHEW CARUSONE

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Matt began his electronics background with the United States Air Force. He attended the University of Massachusetts at Lowell where he majored in Electrical engineering. Following an almost twenty year career with Simplex; first as a Technical Representative, then as a Field Service Manager and finally in sales; Matt joined ZMarketing in 1996. He is responsible for the sales and technical support of our northern New England territory.

After working with GE Industrial for 30 years, Brian is now iin charge of wedge product marketing for the Z Marketing product line. His focus is consultants, state agencies and also back up sales support for designated products. He is based in Monroe, CT.

MARIANNE CASTELOT

Born in Milford, Connecticut, Marianne "Mer" received her Bachelor of Science from Fairfield University in Connecticut and her Masters in Public Administration from C.W. Post Center/Long Island University in New York. Marianne has over 20 years of human resources and management experience. She was Assistant Director of Personnel Services at Skidmore College for six years. Marianne was then Director of Benefits and Compensation Services for 15 years at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, one of the top 25 Engineering Institutes in the U.S., and served a diverse workforce of 2000 employees on two campuses. At Rensselaer she successfully managed a 20 million dollar benefits budget. Marianne has served on numerous business and community boards.
